Powered by three forms of hyaluronic acid, Spa Treatment eX Insert Lotion is an advanced Japanese gel-lotion that replenishes moisture and helps leave the skin smoother, softer and more supple. Used alone, it provides daily hydrating care. Applied after eX Loose Spicule, its water-rich formula helps dissolve the hydrolysed hyaluronic acid microcrystals previously applied to the skin, completing Spa Treatment’s two-step microspicule system.

The formula has an unusual texture developed in Japan: it remains a rich gel inside the bottle but becomes fluid when dispensed, spreading easily across the face and neck.

Sodium hyaluronate, hydrolysed hyaluronic acid and hydroxypropyltrimonium hyaluronate help maintain moisture, while β-glucan, hydrolysed rice bran extract, soluble proteoglycan and lotus flower extract provide additional hydrating and conditioning care.

Two vitamin C derivatives help refine the appearance of the skin, while a carefully selected botanical complex supports a smoother texture, suppleness and a fresh, radiant look. The lotion has a delicate wild rose scent and can be incorporated into both morning and evening skincare.

When used with eX Loose Spicule, Insert Lotion performs a second, specialised function. Spa Treatment’s microspicules are not conventional long, rigid sponge-derived needles. They are compact microcrystals made entirely from low-molecular-weight hydrolysed hyaluronic acid and processed into two polyhedral forms: pyramid-shaped and sharp spear-shaped, with an average size of 250 μm.

Because these hyaluronic acid microcrystals dissolve upon contact with water, they are initially protected inside the water-free oil-gel formula of eX Loose Spicule. After the microcrystals are applied to dry skin, the water-rich Insert Lotion helps dissolve them and supports the delivery of hydrolysed hyaluronic acid within the stratum corneum. This makes the lotion the essential activating step of Spa Treatment’s Japanese microspicule treatment.

How to Use?

Method 1: As a Daily Hydrating Lotion

1. Use morning and/or evening after cleansing.
   
2. Dispense 2–3 pumps into clean palms.
   
3. Apply evenly over the face and neck.
   
4. Gently press the lotion into the skin until absorbed.
   
5. Follow with your usual serum, emulsion or moisturising cream.
   

Method 2: With Spa Treatment eX Loose Spicule

1. Cleanse the face and apply your usual toner or lotion.
   
2. Allow it to absorb completely. Make sure no moisture remains on the skin’s surface before applying eX Loose Spicule.
   
3. Dispense an appropriate amount of Spa Treatment eX Loose Spicule and apply it to the desired areas of the face or neck.
   
4. Distribute the product using gentle tapping movements.
   
5. Dispense 2–3 pumps of Spa Treatment eX Insert Lotion into your palms.
   
6. Apply it over the treated areas and press gently into the skin. The water-rich formula helps dissolve the hydrolysed hyaluronic acid microcrystals applied during the previous step.
   
7. Finish with a moisturising cream.
